How to Make a Headband

Headbands are so easy and inexpensive to make.  A cute little flower would not be complete without one.  I use this method for all sizes of elastic so change it up to suit your taste.

Lay the fabric flower face down.

Measure the length of the elastic you want.  I usually use 16” for my 12 month old daughter.

Hot glue both ends of the elastic band to the back of the flower.

Cover the edges of the elastic with the 1”x 2” swatch of soft felt.  This step is optional of course but I think the felt keeps the elastic from scratching.

Apply hot glue to the underside of the soft felt and press firmly. See how easy it is!

The real deal: Making your own headband costs less than $0.50.

Go and be pretty,
