Ruffle Bracelet

This is a fun one! Give it a try…

The measurements given will accommodate wrist sizes between 5 and 7 inches around. Start with 24 inches of 1/2 inch wide ribbon. Fold one end under 3/4 of an inch and pin in place.

Fold again and pin. Each fold should be 3/4 inch long.

Keep folding and pinning…

Now, you are ready to sew.

When sewing, make sure the folds are facing you. Remove each pin before sewing over them. Otherwise, you might break your needle. Back stitch on both ends to keep the stitch from coming undone.

Cut a piece of 1/2 inch wide elastic 2.5 inches long. Pin the elastic to one end of the ruffled ribbon. Sew back and forth a few times to make the elastic – ribbon connection sturdy. Remove the pin before sewing over it.

This is what it looks like after you sew the elastic to one end.

Measure the bracelet length you need. Pin and sew the elastic to the other end. Cut away the excess elastic. Now it's ready for wear!

I told you this would be a fun one!

The Real Deal: It only cost me $0.50 in materials to make this bracelet.
