Wondering what to do with all those jumbled up, loose bobbins?

How about creating a simple, sleek organizer from a hanger.
Materials:
- Metal hanger
- Pliers with wire cutter (you can see a small peek of what they look like here)
- Bobbins

Cut a 10 inch piece of metal off the bottom portion of a metal hanger using the wire cutter. Curl one end in a spiral using the pliers.

Flatten the spiral (going from picture 4 to 5). Bend the wire at a 90 degree angle from the spiral using the pliers. Slide your bobbins onto your new organizer.

The Real Deal: It's free!

Awesome! I have been wondering is I should cave and buy one of those plastic bobbin holders. But no more. I have some wire hangers I can use for this project. Perfect.
Thanks!
Oh my goodness, that is a great idea. thank you.
Free is good – and this is a really cute organizer!

Thank goodness I stumbled across this post – having bobbins all over my sewing kit has been driving me crazy! Thanks so much for the tip!
I use those foam pedicure toe seperators. They keep my bobbins from unwinding, and it makes it easy for me to keep track of what bobbins will fit in which machine.
